The full Christmas Party Transformation of the Catering Headliners Warehouse

We were delighted to be contacted again by Global Infusion Group (Eat to the Beat) about supporting there own internal Christmas Party in September 2019.
Red Occasions has worked on behalf of and directly for GIG previously via our white label service, so we had a strong existing relationship to build upon. We set about understanding a brief, and putting ideas together to wow their audience.

Global Infusion Group has been growing substantially in recent years, and have announced a move to a much larger, purpose built premises in 2020 to incorporate there brewery, and other divisions. With 2019 being the last Christmas at the current premises, it was only fitting to hold a bumper Christmas Party!

The theme of the event was to be ‘Rock in the Dock’. As the original Catering Headliners – live bands and a big party was the order of the day! We quickly set about putting together ideas to transform the space into a full event space – working within the clients strict budget. As this was to be held on the last working day of 2019, we were given the whole warehouse to play with, and use extensive lighting to create different areas.

The Brewery

Within GIG, they have there very own brewery – Haresfoot Brewery – and this was to be the grand entrance for the event. Utilising a range our Wireless Astera AX1 & AX3 fixtures, we illuminated the brewery Kegs and Vats to form a stunning entrance.

The Dock

Central to the event was the dock, which was totally transformed into ‘Rock in the Dock’, in here we installed a truss grid supporting a range of lighting fixtures to add to the party effects, including some of our Chuavet Q40, Rogue R2 Wash and Clay Paky Axcor fixtures. The centrepiece was a mirrorball (one of the clients main requests!), transforming the venue and giving that true party effect!

For the band & DJ, we installed a 6m x 4m stage at 60cm high, with steps and a handrail. At the back of the stage was further ‘eye candy’ lighting to add visual impact to the band.

For Audio, we utilised a selection of our L’Acoustics sound system, offering complete clarity and stunning acoustics. All driven and powered by a Yamaha Sound Desk.

The Warehouse

The adjacent space was the main warehouse, and this was transformed into a quieter chill out space, with seating, tables and decorations. Utilising more subtle lighting, we added a cool effect – highlighting the rustic atmosphere and ensuring an atmosphere. We used a range of Astera Titan, AX3 & our ever useful magnetic Pin Spots clipped straight onto the warehouse structure!

On the Day

A fantastic party to celebrate the last year for GIG at this warehouse before moving to a brand new 80,000 square foot plus new warehouse! A truly fitting send off.
